Woke up at 5am in the morning. Dad and grandma sent us off to the airport. Had breakfast before boarding.
Shopped in DFS before going to our gate. The Shu Umera cleansing oil is so much cheaper than the one i bought outside, very tempted to buy. But decided to keep my $ to spend in HK. =)

Our flight was 6.40am in the morning!

We requested to have the emergency exit seats during check-in. The leg room is bigger and spacious.

Up! up! And Above!

Instaed of taking the airport express (MTR), we decided to take the airport shuttle which will send us directly to our hotel. The rates are comparable to the MTR and it more convenient.
ME! on the airport shuttle bus to our hotel.

The scenery… looks like the malaysia expressway ah?!

Along the bridge. Crossing from Hongkong island to Kowloon.

Those flats must be damn expensive!

Spotted the container yard

Dunno why we will take this photo. But it turned out to be the apartment Claris lived when she was working in HK!

Shops along our hotel

We requested for non-smoking room. So we had to wait for a while before we can check in. Left out baggage in the hotel and went out to wacky our neighbour. Dear was hungry! So we decided to try the 香港茶餐厅 just behind out hotel.

We ordered the set meal. And it comes with a winter melon and pork ribs soup. Dear is super happy. I cant finish my portion and he was so happy to help me finish! Heez..

We took the MTR to Cental. Walked to the central pier to take the ferry to Mui Wo. And from there, we took another bus which brings us up to the great buddha. (Cable car was under mantainance, so no luck in trying out)

It was a super sunny day!

On board the ferry. Its air conditioned. Just like those we take to batam or bintan.

The all handy ‘Octopus Card’ aka EZ Link card.

Look at how sunny the weather is! Phew.. sweating..

Isn’t this scenery so beautiful… this is the lake we passed by on our way up to great buddha

The steps to walk up..

Halfway there…

Panting for my breath.. Haha

Our wkend getaway to Genting
June 7, 2009 at 4:06 am | In It's my Life, PhOtos, TraVeL, WoRk | 2 CommentsI’m back from my Genting Trip. And I totally love the weather over there. SHIOK!!
It was a short but yet fulfilling trip. We had so much fun and laughters.
The coach bus we took had personal TVs (although most of the movies i’ve wach before), very spacious as well.
But the time we reached Genting at 4am in the morning, it was raining super heavily. Thanks to Celia and we managed to checked in on the spot, instaed of taking a Q no. and waiting till 3pm. Our room had nice views of facing the hills. We washed up before heading to have out breakfast. Breakfast was at Mary Brown. And i had my chicken porridge set and hot tea. Its so cold…. *Shiver* Thr hot porridge and tea came at the right time.

As most of the shops were not opened, the only place to loiter is the Casino!! Yes, and we went to the Casino like 6+am in the morning. I was not being checked for my age!! Celia was the one being checked… wahaha.. We maked fun of her that maybe becoz she is tanned just like M ppl, so the security wanna tease her -_-”’ Guess all the gamblers have gone back to sleep, very few ppl in the Casino. We decided to try on this table game, the min bet was RM5. All of us changed Rm50 to play. Yippy! And i won twice, the return was 8 times of my bet. Cool!

Went back to our room to rest. Took a 2hr nap before heading out for our lunch and to the Theme Park!! Celia & Bf were still in the casino. So we didn’t bother them. PB and hubby gone missing.. couldn’t contact them. So only left the 3 of us. Super hungry by the time we woke up, had a quick lunch at the Cafe at first world.
The Corkscrew ( 360 degree roller coaster) was no in operation. Ened up we bought individual ticket rides. Our 1st ride was the slow and relaxing Caterpillar monorail. Then, the exciting Flying Coaster! Christina damn funny lah, suddenly say she need to use toilet, we ask her to go after our ride, she say she need to do Big business. Wahaha… wonder is it too nervous until shit pants. Haha… We were screaming all the way la.. it went up… then down… up… 360 turn… wa lau… luckily nv vomit. Our legs were wobbily when we got down. But still, super fun! Then we went indoor to take the roller coaster, this one no kick. Damn boring.

Dinner was at Mushroom Farm. The food is nice! Yummy! and also cheap! Then we went around for photo taking. We didn’t took the shuttle bus back, we took a stroll back as all of us were so bloated. Bought ‘Bua Long Long”. Its a kind of fruits. PB always mention to us, finally we had a chance to try.

Shopping in the night, i didn’t managed to buy anything. I ithink all of us didn;t buy anything except for Christina. She’s a shopaholic. Very tempted in buying things. :p Went back to put her stuff before heading down to the casino again. But guess we were too tired and we fell asleep. But we still woke ap at 10pm and head down to casino. Now, its really ppl mountian ppl sea. So many ppl, the bets also went higher. The game we played in the morning increase to RM10. Chris didn;t want to play, so Charlene and me changed Rm100 to play. Ganchiong!! Everyone was crowding around the table, so many aunties and uncles, i felt so out of place. So wierd. Anyway, i managed to won at first.. but greediness lead me to lose.
Our bus will depart Genting at 12am. So we got to be at the bus terminal at 11.30am. Went for american breakfast at the Hainan cafe, HEad back to hotel rm for shower and packup. before heading back to SG.
Our journey back –> SLEEP!!
Tired but yet FUN!!

RAWA Island Trip 17-19Apr
April 22, 2009 at 2:33 pm | In It's my Life, LoVe Is in the aiR, PhOtos, TraVeL | 1 CommentI’m totally in love with the sun, sand and beach! This is one island which has a nice white beach and crystal clear water, beautiful corals and fishes can be found just near the shore. Totally suitable for snorkelling. Wee~ i just love it!!
Took the speedboat from Mersing jetty, a 20mins boat ride.

Grabbing my Coke tightly… HehHeh~

Arrival on Rawa Jetty. Spotted their Tee shirt? Cute ya! Sunny weather!!

Thats where i’ll be staying..

We saw a board sign ” Tennis Court” and so we decided to check it out. Its a wrong choice. I wonder who will play at this tennis court which is located all the way uphill! No kidding.. the slope is super steep. But, we still managed to hike up.

Lets all take a photo.. the “Individual Post”

We came across 2 beautiful peacocks along the way.
The White Peacock.. ain’t it beautiful?

The Green Peacock

Apparently, there are a few peacocks roaming around the island freely.
Meals on the island are included in our package. Buffet style. Almost 95% of the tourist are all Ang Mohs, so even the food catered are also more westernise. My favourites - the fish battered, nuggets and beef steak! Yummy!!
The clear blue water

Lets play with pebbles..

Beach boys and girl! I think we look like some kind of band.. Wahaha

Bryan BULLIED me! Captured on camera.. haha..

We went kayaking around the island.. rented the snorkel masks as well. We kayak out further away to the shore.. Bryan stayed on the kayak while the rest of us jump into the sea.. went snorkeling around.. Then i ask Bryan to kayak back while i hold on to the back of the kayak, so that i can just look under the sea for corals and fishes without peddling.

We continue to dip in the cool sea water. Went to play the slide. Damn Scary!! Its fast the water below was like 2m high. I guess my nose drank quite a bit of salty water. But yet.. it FUN! The guys still went to the jetty and jump down.
Sunset Beach in Pulau Rawa..

Sunset Jetty in Pulau Rawa

Everything seems so peaceful, so serene…
Ken, Angela and Ray went back to sleep at 9pm. They were super tired. So Bryan and me went for a walk along the jetty.
The Jetty in the night…

Lady Blue Sky.. The boat we took to Rawa fromMersing.

Lets enjoy a can of COKE!

Lets go for breakfast..

There are hammocks around the beachfront. And anyone can just go and lie. I felet just like a baby in the sarong. Haha..

More snorkeling…

I Love this Photo!

Nothing taste better then a glass of ICE COKE!!!

Nothing taste better than Ice-Cream in a hot day. Yummy!!

See how tanned bryan is. Woo~

After lunch and a short rest.. we went kayaking again. This time round, we decided to kayak to another island. We name it the Temptation Island… Seems near but actually it super far man..

We took like 45mins to kayak over. I shareda double kayak with bryan. Was kept being swept out by the open sea. Especially with out our weigh difference, its even more difficult to maneuver across the south china sea. Lucky the weather was fine, cant imagine if it started to rain halfway.
The island was deserted. It has a Tombolo which connect the main island to an off shore rock/cave. There was a cave and we explored it. There’s an opening at the other end of the cave which oversee the south china sea. There are corals over there, but because the wave is huge so we did not snorkel out. It just totally amazing. Too bad we did not bring our camera along.
This is how the tombolo look like, the island we explored look something like this..

Saturday night bbq buffet…

A group photo at the jetty…

These are the only souveniers i brought back. All are from Temptation Island..

Trips.. trIps and more Trips
February 17, 2009 at 8:03 am | In TraVeL, WoRk | No CommentsI love travelling. Though now the market is not good at all, and it would be wiser to save then to spend. But how can i resist those good deals!? Haha.. Afterall, i don’t really go for luxury tours but rather an economical tour.
Yippy!!
Guess what!? I’ve booked my trip to HongKong! Booked through Jetstar a few weeks ago when they are having their promotion. The air ticket for 2 pax sum up to a total of $446. So i’ll be travelling from 17/Sept to 21/Sept. Was still thinking if we should stay in a hotel or at my auntie house. Of cause if we put up at my aunt house, then we could really save a lot. But bryan prefer to stay in a hotel.. Hm.. shall decide again when the time is near..
Anyway… I’ve called to checked the availability for the Pulau Rawa trip. Tour agency feedback that its fully booked during the good friday week.
She also mentioned that during labour day and vesak day, it should also be fully booked. Wow! Didn’t know that place is sooo popular.
Ben went to this island before, according to him and his nice photos.. the place is really beautiful, clear water, fishes swimming at the shore, alot of Ang mohs also.. i came to a conclusion that since there are ang mohs, then it should be a nice island. Wahaha…
This one i angry la…
haha.. charlene showed me a star cruise promotion, 2N malacca/KL trip for only $299 NET and its a room with Balcony loh!! This is really a super good deal. At normal price that is like $1000++ loh.. We got to know the good deal last friday la, then we asked stormy and mooncake. They also on liaoz.. Call up agecny also got space.. Suppose to pop by the agency for payment after work la.. but then we were so tired after shifing our office seats then mooncake also dun have the passport expiry date la.. Alamak! So we decided to book on monday! Who knows.. all Fully Booked!! Hng Hng…!! Sad la.. Or else we will depart tml nite.. ended up we all have to cancel our leave..
Nvm.. we plan to go to the Natas fair and check out any good deals.. Heheh..
This doesn’t seem like a bad economy lehz.. everyone still going for holidays…
Qiu also emailed me and shiwei.. wanted to go for the taiwan trip in March.. Not sure if this plan can go smoothly or not..
Hng.. Hng.. i see my pocket burning a big hole.. wahaha.. Need to save $$ loh..

Road trip to Cameron & KL Day 3 and 4
January 8, 2009 at 3:13 pm | In It's my Life, LoVe Is in the aiR, PhOtos, TraVeL | No CommentsWe took the morning coach down to KL…
Bye bye Cameron and here comes KL!
Well… I’ve been to KL a few times liaoz.. this is the 2nd time i’m going with dear. But we will only be staying for 1 night.
The coach down to KL is about 4 hrs. After checking in to our hotel. We went for lunch nearby. Stayed at Alpha Genisis Hotel. Located at Bukit Bintang area, it just like 5-10 mins walk to all the major shopping centres. Went back to hotel to take a nap before heading to Sungei Wang for a walk. We just wanted to go to FOS and Vincci. The clothes at KL is so cheap.. but most of them the designs are not that fantastic. Didn’t went to chiong all the shops… i’m in the relax mood.. haha
Came across this hongkong cafe at the entrance of Sungei Wang. Very crowded and the price is same as Sg, only that it is in RM. Woohoo.. Their roast pork is good. The luncheon meat and egg sandwich is good too. Yummy!
We took a stroll to chinatown after dinner. About 20 mins walk. I didn’t buy anything. But dear got himself 2 belts.
Very cheap lehz… Had the Gui Ling Gao at chinatown. Yucks man! I hate it. SO bitter. No matter how much honey i put, it still taste wierd. I think only jen jie will like. Haha..
We went to Jalan Alor after that.. Ta Pau all the famous snacks back to hotel to eat.
We woke up very early on the last day as well. Because we didn’t manage to go to the Petronas Twin Tower the other time. SO we die die also have to go this time. We have to get there early because there is only like 1650 tickets to be given out and is base on first come basis. The other time we went at about 11am and it all taken up. This time we reach around 8.30am. Heng ar! There’s already a long queue loh.. we took our ticket which is for the 12.30pm timimg. BUt then too late la.. our coach back to sg is 1pm. We manage to negotiate with the counter lady and she change our timing to 11am. SO nice of her.
Dear had his height taken. Dunno wats its written?? In malay, dun u nderstand.
My pass to board the Twin Towers
The viewing bridge is located at level 42. So it took us 42 secs to reach.
Not that scary la.. coz my office already at 39 floor. So this 42 floor is nothing..
And there’s the end of our short trip. I really miss Cameron.
KL is ok.. coz of the busy road and high rise buildings and shopping centres. Its like in sg orchard road.
Dear say he wants to go to Redang or Koh Samui in May and HK in Sept.
Hope we are able to fullfill…

Road trip to Cameron & KL Day 2
January 8, 2009 at 1:20 pm | In It's my Life, LoVe Is in the aiR, PhOtos, TraVeL | No CommentsWe woke up really early. At 5.30AM in the morning!!!
The tour guide picked us up at 6am to go for the morning sunrise. Because it was raining the whole night. We were afraid that there will be no sunrise. According to the guide, if the mist is heavy, then we also cant see the sun. Oh no!! Sob Sob…
We were at the highest point of cameron. Which is called Mount Brinchang, 6,666 feet above sea level. We hid in this tower.
Everyone were praying hard that the drizzles will stop, the mist will dissappear!
Everyone was so eager to see the changes of the sky color. Oh my…
But it was so fun la.. early in the morning. I say it is really freezing!! Especially when we climbed up to the 2nd level of the tower. The cold wind kept blowing loh… couldn’t take it and so all of us went down. The wind also very strong la.. my nose like dropping off loh. But then everyone was gathering around chit chatting and having fun.
It was kinda disappointed. We didn’t managed to catch the sunrise! I cant imagine how it will look like up above the mountain. I’m sure it will be very magnificant.
But, luckily i have a nice group of travel companions. We could really entertain each other. Haha…
Guess the tour guide is also shivering. See his hand shaking while taking our grp photos. Haha.
Our tour guide making hot drinks for us!! And of coz there are pastries for us too.
We went back to hotel for our breakfast before going for our next tour. The nature tour.
Look at the huge area of the BOH tea plantation. Amazing!
We went to the Mossy Forest walk after visiting the tea plantation. I only climb like 5 - 10 steps and then i decided to back tracked. HAha… Because i find the soil to be very muddy (Due to the rain in the night). I’m not in the right attire also la.. then see my Crocs shoe dirty, i cannot tahan la.. haha. SO i left dear to climb with the rest of the ppl. Of coz.. the few others also did not climd. SO the guide entertain us with his stories of all the diff kinds of tourists he met..
We went to the night market in the night. Nothing much but was a nice walk.
We had our dinner with another couple which we met. Again we had steamboat and also ordered a few other dishes. And its like such a coincidence that the guy is also in the same company as bryan.. HAha.. such a small world ya.
